Hello All - New to the Epso Wizard Boards and I'm programming the Casio TE 4500 F Register.

We are getting 24 Casio TE-4500F registers with that will be in 12 stores.

I think I'm looking for an ERC utility that will assist in the programing that would allow us to program one register at the office and then e-mail that file to the stores.

Essentially, we are using the Flat PLU for the core inventory and will use bar code scanning on select items not covered by the flat PLU keys.

Do we really need an ERC utility?

Of course to make it harder I use an Apple Computer in life but I can get along with Windows.

Hi.
The 4000 series can also dump programming to a CF card, so if you want to avoid prog software, then you could save to a CF, then use a card reader to send the file off to the stores. Your dealer can supply a utility for you, but I doubt it is Mac compatible.

Thanks Mark,

Cool! that's what I figured, although the user manual does not describe how to save the programming to the compact flash drive, but says that it can be done.

How then do we input the bar-codes to be scanned? I did not see anything in the manual about this. Which leads me to think that we will need to get some sort of software to input the UPCs.

We received these registers when we bought the stores so we do not have a dealer that we are working with.

While digging through the internet I came across http://www.ecrdm.com/
Has anyone used this ECR Data Manager? As we are just getting up and running, we are trying to keep expenses down, anything free is good if it helps.

I'm always suspect of free stuff online . . .

It doesn't look like this software is free. i've never seen or used it before, so I couldn't be sure if it is good.
I have some info for you that I've sent in a personal message.

Mark
