Hi...I have changed the prices of drinks on my till. All gone well and changes are registered. However...there is a shortcut button on my main screen that says "double" and is used for the 4 main spirits. When the staff use this shortcut the till registers the old price of the double. When I go into the individual spirit the prices are right for both singles and doubles. How do I change the "double" button? Many thanks folks !bop

Hi,

Do you have seperate PLUs for the doubles? ie when you say the individual prices are right for the doubles where exactly do you mean?

There are a couple of different ways doubles can work you see, so I need to work out how yours is setup.

Cheers

Hi
As an example : To ring thru a double bells whiskey you press "double" then "Bells"
You can do the same for vodka, bacardi etc
This then rings thru at the old price
Ring a single spirit thru (ie just press Bells) and it goes thru at the new price
The mistake only happens when you press the double button
Go into sp101 plu prices and look up bells whiskey and it shows the new price is programmed in for both single and double
I've tried resending it and it says it's accepted at all 3 tills (which it must have as the single price has changed)

I'm not up on these things so I'm more than a little confused! !dunce

Thanks

Hi,

Thats very strange as you appear to be doing everything you need to. Can you please tell me:

1. When you do a sale on the cash register, does it say Std Prices, standard prices or something similar anywhere on the screen?
2. When you press the double key, does the word 'double' actually appear anywhere on the screen (Probably up near the top left somewhere?
3. When you go into the programming menu, the same place where you select the 101 menu, do you have access to '122 - PLUS' or is that not in the list?

Cheers

Hello

The word standard, std prices or anything similiar does not appear on the screen
The word double appears on the left handside where the till lists the drinks being rung thru when the double button is pressed
122-PLUS is available to us

I don't use the till on a day to day basis. I've spoken to my friend who does use it. He advises there are 2 ways to ring through a double.
The first "double" "spirits" "bells" works fine and gives the new price
The second "double" "bells" doesn't and gives the old price.

I didn't realise this and wonder if this sheds any light on the matter.

Just editing this...friend has rang to say he has lost double and draught button from till. (There are 3 tills one doesn't get used but if anything needs changing we do it on that then send it to the other two tills)
Logically if tills 1 + 2 still have double and draught button in situ, what do i need to do to send the information from one of them to till 3 to put it right? I've told him to experiment no more lol.
I've attached a screen shot of the home screen as it looks on till3 minus the draught and double button!
Is it worth buying the back office software? I only ask because I wondered if it was easier to do menu changes this way. I've also heard it's quite expensive

Not a very gud pic. Friend mms it. I can take a better one on my camera if it helps at all.

Many thanks

Sounds like you may have two different PLUs for the same product.
One in the 'Spirit' Lookup and one on front screen

I suggest using SP122 to look through all you PLU's to see if there are duplicates. Go SP122 and then start at PLU 1 rather than using 'look up' to find your PLU's.
If thats the case I suggest finding the one on the front screen programmin in the correct price and then adding it to the lookup in place of the exisiting one.

If you have the time it is worth making a PLU list for reference.

Hi guys. Working my way thru plu's (I'm up to 1050)
I've changed some food prices and they have all gone thru ok. We have a two for £8 deal on some meals which I want to change to two for £9 but I can't for the life of me find where this is on the till. Anyone have any ideas where it may be hidden?

From either till 1 or till 2
SP 8850 - touch screen layout.

I think. That's off the top of my head. I'll get one in front of me tomorrow and check anyway.

If you have something like Total Control it is easier to do changes but it's not worth it just for that. Id' only invest in back office if you goign to put it to good use i.e use it;s reporting functions.
