I havent used my till for a few months. It wouldnt start up when I first switched it on, so I tried to reset set it using the 3 keys far left 3 up turning of and on. It bleeped 4 times and the display now shows:
IR DONE
BOOT ROM - SX-80001106B1.01
FLASH ROM - V1.09

However nothing seems to work, cant even feed the receipt or journal!!! As I do not have a manual for this till, I am now at a loss.

Can anyone help :?

Sounds like your onboard back up battery ran flat and it has reset to out of the box factory settings!!!

Not sure about your battery being flat. This message is standard after doing an initail reset (IR). If the till had lost its settings you would have SETUP REQUIRED on the display.

If you cant use your till after the reset you may want to try the following.

You till may have reverted back to the standard programmable keyboard.

This is similar to a reset but will toggle your keyboard

Before we start we are looking for a message flashing up on the display saying F1.

The till could be in any of 4 settings
F1
F0
C1
C0

F= Flat Keyboard
C=Raised Keyboard
1 = Programmed keyboard
0= Standard Uniwell Keyboard

To swap between 0 and 1

Turn Key to SP
Turn till off at the side
Hold down 3 buttons
The 3 buttons are as follows - goto the top left hand corner of the keyboard and come 4 rows down. Its that button the button next to it and the button next to that. Similar to the reset.
Turn the till ON

You will see F1, F0 or C1 or C0 flash up on the display.

If you had F1 see if the till now works. If you had F0 do it again.

If you had C1 do this (similar again)

Turn Key to SP
Turn till off at the side
Hold down 3 buttons
The 3 buttons are as follows - goto the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard and come 5 rows up. Its that button the button next to it and the button next to that. Similar to the reset.
Turn the till ON

You need F1.

Hope this helps.
