Hi,

New to this very useful forum. I have two ET6600s which have been linked. I want to use just the one but cannot Z without the other being connected. I need the shelf space so need to separate. How do I do that?

Regards

Popeye

Hi,

That's something I've never come across before but i'm sure I could figure out how to seperate them, what actually happens if you turn one machine off then try printing a Z report? Do you get any error messages?

Cheers

Hi,

What is the exact procedure you are doing to get the Z reading from your cash registers.

Cheers

Sorry for delay - If tills are connected then turning key to Z1 and pressing cash works. With disconnected it comes up keyboard error.

Further problem now. I purchased David to see if I could clear it myself and I cannot get it to communicate with till. It comes up with Communications Error 5 which means it is not receiving ACK from till. I have tried every combination of data bits, parity and stop bits but it still fails to communicate.

Cheers

Hi,

I've been struggling a little with this one but have managed to find an option were you tell each machine wether it is part of a network of tills or not. I would have thought if you changed the option to say 'Is Not part of a network' it might stop the problem.

Turn the key to P2
Press Cl
Press 1
Press START
Press SELECT
Press CASH
Key in 29
Press DESIGN
Press 0 (Zero)
Press CASH to finish

Then you may or may not need to perform a P reset before the setting kicks in:

Turn the power off
Turn the key to P2
Turn the power back on.

Let me know if you decide to give it a try.
