Hi all

I am a newbie to EPOS, and have been asked by my boss to investigate how to stop the receipt printer connected to our UP 3500 printing a "receipt" EVERY time we close a table.

Any help on where to look to re set this feature would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance

From what you say "EVERY time we close a table", it is not a receipt its printing but a Bill
Does it print when you finalize a non table transaction?

Either you need to look at service line 928 or you need a receipt on/off function key.

Your Dealer should be able to advice on this.

Many thanks for your reply

As I stated previously, i am a newbie... The first time i looked at the manual was today!

I don't fully understand "service line 928", and of course i need to be able to print a bill for my customers. Maybe i didn't fully explain

When i open a table e.g table 1, add the meal my customer wants, and close the table to send the order to the kitchen, or to enter meal requirements for another table in the restuarant, a "bill" is printed on the printer. This is not of course the final bill for the customer, who may order more drinks for example.

What i want to be able to do is permenantly stop these "interim" bills from printing and only print the final bill when the customer comes to pay at the end of the visit.

Not sure if this info makes any difference. I just can't seem to find out why it prints these "interim bills" and how to stop it.

Regards

Do you have a button for receipt on/off?

If I remember correctly turning off the auto receipt also stops the auto bills.

If not I will have another look tonight for you.

Regards

Dave

On some models, there is a MISC FUNC button which brings up the receipt switch. Use the decimal point to switch the receipt off.
