my name is Chris and im from Germany. A Friend of mine has bought an UP-X300 Terminal. I got it to work as goog as i could. Now i have only 2 Problems left which cant solve.
Because of the german manual i describe the problem in german+english because the expressions used may vary and i cant exactly translate them. Sorry for that:
english text will follow in the second post.(need some time for translation)

German:
Das Problem ist folgendes. Ich möchte,dass wenn ich auf einen Tisch eine Bestellung mache auf dem einen Drucker die Getränkebestellung für die Bar rauskommt, und auf dem Küchendrucker das Essen für die in Küche.Dabei wäre es perfekt wenn diese beiden Drucken dann passieren, wenn der Kellner seinen Schlüssel abzieht,oder in dem moment wo er die Waren eingibt. Im Handbuch finde ich da so eine Einstellung "Transaktion abgeschlossen",evtl ist diese dafür hilfreich.
Dass die Waren/Artikel auf den unterschiedlichen Drucker rauskommen, müsste ja über die Warengruppe steuerbar sein. Bei der nächsten Bestellung für den gleichen Kunden an diesem Tisch sollen nur die neuen Informationen gedruckt werden. Das ist das eine.
Das andere:
Ich möchte wenn der Kunde zahlt gerne den Kassenbon 2mal. Leider hat selbst die Einstellung Doppelbon noch Bonduplikation zum Erfolg geführt. Wenn ich jetzt theoretisch den Bondrucker (gleiches Gerät,selber Anschluss) auch noch als journaldrucker einrichte,druckt er mir dann 2mal die Rechnung?

Warum die Berichte nicht funktioneiren muss ich noch selbst rausfinden.

I managed to get an UP-X300 Terminal to work as best as i could. Now i have only 2 major Problems left, which i didnt get solved.
I have the back office and the frontend manual in german language.
First Problem:
The Waiter is typing in his booking. The booking includes several drinks and food. If he removes his key, i want to have drinks printed on the bonprinter and the food on the kitchen printer. I think this is manageable through the material group? But how do tell the system,that he then prints the booking. I found an entry called "transaction finished",is this a way to solve the Problem?
I have 2 Printers, one is the bonprinter, and one the kitchenprinter.

Now the second Problem:
If a customers wants to pay his Bill the waiter presses the Bar-Button, in english i think its the cash button. If i tell the bonprinter that he is also the journalprinter,does he print the bill 2 times?
The second bill is needed for the Records. I tried several functions like bonduplication or doublebon, but they didnt work.

Reports dont work, but i hope to get it done soon, is one minor problem.

What is this printer connected to? Sounds like you have a QT system?
Tell us what model and how many units you have networked?

I actually acciendetly posted here,as im new here and the machine is an sharp model. Same topic exists on Sharp forum.

Its a Sharp UP-X300 Terminal which works as single station without network.
Weve got 2,but only one is in use at a time, so the other does work work as a backup station if the other will fail.

Printers are BTP-2002NP which are connected via com1 and com2.
