up3300 help please? just got the manual from here

Hi

Im just wondering if someone would be grateful enough to help me with this till. Ive been asked to help a friend with it; it is just used in a small pub for basic pub needs.

Is it possible to connect this to a pc to make changing prices easier? If yes, what software do i need?

Also, what mode does it need to be in to connect to the computer? I looked through the user manual but cant find anything about connecting to a PC.

He is just wanting to change prices, and add a few things to the menu.

Connecting to a pc is done using Online mode.

Thank you i will try that, i have the relevant cable, but not sure about the software. I will give it a go over the weekend if the pub isnt too busy.

OK well i just managed to get onto the till.

It just wasnt speaking to the computer, the software i have is ECR Manager 3.16 if that means anything? Is this the correct software to use for connecting through the ethernet cable? There is a com port on the bottom of the till also that isnt in use.

Its like i just needed to press something on the till to open it up to the computer. Any ideas please? There was no IR option int PG2M

OK i managed to get into service mode '99999999' under mode; but for some reason the till just isnt talking to the computer. Do i need to select something else under the service menu?

I get error messages in the time log saying either socket time out or unable to retrieve.

Any help would be great thanks, we are willing to make donations etc too.

Im just going in today so fingers crossed. Whatever is editted in the database does it just automatically upload to the till or do you have to upload it?

You have to send it to the till. On some versions you can get it to automatically prompt with the send dialog so you dont forget.
