Hi

I am trying to change some articles on my UX-45F with DDS firmware.
It seems that the character map on the template does not match with the charaters shown on the display.

Coud this happen, when I disable some keys or is this just valid when in register mode?

Best regards

Onki

Hi

This seems to be regular in this damned DDS firmware. IS there anyway to get the original firmware to be able to use the PLM tool to program the cash register?

I am fed up with this firmware and I don't need restaurant specific functions as offered in the DDS firmware.

Is it on EPROM or a Flash firmware?

Best regards

Onki

I think you have been a little mislead somewhere down the line because there is no such thing as DDS firmware on a UX45f. DDS firmware was for something in the early 90's and would never have got to the UX range.

Your till is EPROM based and is version f. You will have either an 03 or and 05. 05 was for scanning and everything else was 03.

There are 2 software types that will talk to your UX45f. PLMUX or PLM2000.

I have not touched a UX45 for nearly 8 years but I can remember there were many problems with the keyboard mapping. Some programs did not support where the buttons lay on the keyboard but I cant remember PLM2000 having much problems. There was a big problems with characters other than the alphabet and anything like " or . would not be sent to the tills.

Good luck with finding what you want as your till is quite old now and many people wont be able to remember all the bugs with the software.
