I am just about to register for VAT at my cafe and need to programme my sharp XE-A212 Till for different rates of VAT.
For example I want to programme dept 1 for Standard rate VAT and dept 2 for zero rate so all products I have programmed into till under different departments will total on the reciept correctly dividing standard and zero rate products and totalling VAT at bottom. How do I do this, the manual is useless and keeps directing me to another page!

In my experience very few people program their cash registers to show a VAT breakdown on the customers receipt, it will just cause confusion and they will start to question why some things are vatable and others not.

Saying that you can still program the machine to show you a VAT breakdown on your end of day reports.

Even though it may not appear it at first but the format of the manual is probably the easiest
way to be able to put over ,how to program the machine.

If you post which bits you understand/Do not understand then someone may be able to expand on the manual
