Hi,

I'm after picking someone's brain after trying to change the VAT rate from 15% to 17.5% on our Uniwell PX-5750.

This is what I have done. I followed the following instructions:-

Quote:
To change the VAT Percentage the M key is required.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT SIGNED ON THE TILL. Turn the key to the SP position then SIGN ON. BY PRESSING THE CLERK ID button once then enter 1 then press the Clerk ID button again. You are then displayed with 2 options, line down to the PROGRAM function (should be highlighted) and press enter, you will be displayed with a few more options in this screen, we need to select 107, line down to this option and press ENTER.

Once inside this option you are selected with 4 percentage rates, the first one needs to be changed, it should be highlighted VAT already.

Press the ENTER button then a new cursor will be displayed, enter the new percentage (USE THE DECIMAL POINT KEY AS WELL) and press the ENTER button again to confirm the change.

Press the Clear button, turn the key to the R position and sign on as normal.

VAT rate has now been changed.

I thaught i'd cracked it BUT when we do a secondary receipt, the VAT amount shown has been calculated at the original 15% instead of the new 17.5%.

Any help?

Regards,

If you're working backwards on a receipt with VAT, then something which costs £1 VAT inclusive @17.5% is made up of 85p of Item Price and 15p of VAT Price - so it might look like there is only 15% VAT when the calculation really is 85p + 17.5% VAT to make £1.00
