TOTAL

This will set rate at 17.5%

Hi socheallaigh!
Can you please help me? I do need to change the tax rates to, but I have 3 different ones (21%; 12%; 5%). How do I change each one of them?
I’m so sorry for my bad English, hopefully you can understand me!
Thanks and best regards,
Darlindo.

The example I gave earlier was to program vat rate 1

For vat rate 2 substitute 21 for 11 ( 21 CHRG .... etc)
For vat rate 3 31

Hi again, socheallaigh!
I want to change my vat rat from 12% to 13% and I have done what you toll me to but it doesn’t looks to be working. You know that I am in Portugal and I think that “Vat Rate” it’s the same that we call IVA, means the tax we have to pay for the treasury. Any way, when I press
21
CHG

it appears a message
IVA 12%______________1
then, when I press
130000it appears
IVA 12%______________1.3000%
and apparently nothing happens. Will you help me please? I should change the tax rates from 1 July (today!). Tank you very much and then again sorry my poor English.

How is tax calculated in Portugal?
Is it VAT? (tax is part of selling price)
or Add On Tax (tax is added to selling price) at point of sale

I see that you use vat system in Portugal.

To change tax rate 2 to 13%

Key to P1 and enter following
21
Press CHG
130000
Press TTL

Then test your register with a sale which you can later void

Yes, it seems to be VAT, you right. I have done just that but when I make “X” to print the list after doing a selling test, the tax seems to be the same. How can I be sure that it’s working well? Sorry to bother you once again. Many thanks!

Do you mean that the tax is incorrect on your X report? Ring in €1 as a test and print X report. What does it print?
