Please can anyone tell me how to program a voyager ms9520 scanner on Sharp UP 600.
I 've tried those parametrs :
1- disable interleaved 2of5
2-Allow code id's with supp
3-Enable 378/379 supps
4-Baud rate : 4800
5-Enable RTS/RTC
6- Parity : ODD
7- Enable STX prefix
8- Enable UPC prefix
9- Don't use code gateout of stand
10- exit configuration mode

But after the first scan the red led stays on.

wow thats in depth!
If you are in the UK, just restore defaults and enable rs232 - should work off the bat.
if you do wish to lower the baud rate , set it to 2400 odd parity 8 data bits 1 stop bit - but why fix what aint broke?
use your sharp programming manual to set the port up on the till acordingly - though unless anything else has been attached, i assume its set at 9600,none,8,1 as standard
the only parameter you need to touch is to tell the till what type of device is connected to its port.

No other device connected to the ecr.
The scanner settings : Ch1,4800bps, 7bits, Odd, 1bit.
I can't change those settings, I don't know how to proceed.

how are you reading the scanner settings?
ok, so if you can't change the settings within the scanner, change the settings on the till's communication port to match those in the scanner
the most important setting [though they are all important] is the setting in the till that tells it the device connected is a scanner

I've been on the PGM2 programmation mode, and scanner submode, but it's impossible to change settings.
Did you have any configuration of voyager ms9520 or orbit7120, PSC VS1200 that works with sharp up 700 ?
May be the UP600 and UP700 are the same.

ok now lets make sure i'm understanding this correctly:
you have a scanner that you are able to program, and a cash register that you cannot change the port settings on

see - whilst we can get round the settings issue by programming the scanner to match the till's communication protocol, how are you going to tell the till it has a scanner connected?

Yes that's correct!
I note that the Ecr has always worked with a scanner MS9540, but one day the scanner stop reading items, I used to METROPOS to save the settings that I sent to the new scanner MS9520. But it does not work ! at first scan, the red led stays on, and I have to put the ecr power off that red led goes off.
Otherwise, to activate the scanner, I put it on channel 1, other parameters I think they are fixed. Anyway, I can not change them.

i have attached a scanner setup sheet..

print it off and scan from 1 to 9

if this doesn't work it may be worth while checking the cable end to see if a connection has come loose.

Thank you ! I tried scanning the setup sheet, but in the first scan, the scanner locks on the red LED. I checked the cable end, but nothing to report.
Any idea ?
I note that the red led stays on when enabling RTS/CTS.

Can you change the settings manually? Pgm 2. Settings. Device config. Scanner. ??
