hey there good people,

just bought a casio SE-C300 for my cafe and for two days now i've been chomping at the bit trying to figure out how to set a zero price department or plu- from reading the manual it appears departments must have a price of 0.01-9999 but it talks of a condiment plu and also a preparation plu(page 59) on page 78 i think i found what i need to do BUT.......lol..... there is a section the that says press 3 then sub-total then enter program data in 2 squaresthen appropriate key then subtotal but there is no info there on how to enter the program data or program code. it says further down the page "enable zero unit price then says choice yes = 1 then appers to want you to enter D6 twice or a+b+c. how in the world to you enter this program code - everything i have tried results in the inevitable beep from the machine that makes me want to attack lol - thanks in advance to the golden guru who knows the solution

Enter 0566 and press subtotal
Enter 1
Then press item to be 0 priced
Press Subtotal to finish

thanks for the reply but it did'nt work. do u press 3 subtotal at the start or something?
pressing the 1 like you said then pressed 2 plu but it took me to 12 plu instead - arrgh- i just thought of something.... are the numbers you told me to press on the department keys not the number keys on the left? i will try again now on the department keys and see what happens

forgot to say that pressing 0566 and pressing subtotal the cash register beeps

thanks man - i think this actually works- except you must press 3 first then subtotal. i'm sure you probably know this but maybe just forgot to write it down . anyway, you are a legend - thanks again
